This week brings Virtual Stock for dropshipping, custom sizes for print templates and TikTok order merging.

Sell Stock That Lives With Your Supplier
Virtual Stock lets you sell what your supplier holds, without it ever coming into your warehouse. Set up your suppliers under Settings > Virtual Stock Sources, then record how much each one holds from the Virtual Stock panel on the product. The Inventory Card shows a Virtual figure next to Available, so you always see all stocks at a glance. Under Channel Linking, Include Virtual Stock sends Available plus Virtual to your sales channels, and you can switch it off to send Available only. Virtual stock stays out of picks and inventory valuation, and every change is logged with the person or app that made it.

Print Templates, Any Size You Need
Define your own label and document sizes straight from the Size dropdown in the print template editor, then assign them to any template alongside the built-in sizes.

TikTok Orders, Merged the Smart Way
TikTok Shop orders can be merged just like orders from your other channels, so a customer's separate orders go out together in one parcel. There are two exceptions, both set by TikTok itself:

  • Orders where the customer chose Collection by TikTok (TikTok Shipping) are never merged. TikTok creates the label for these, so each one ships on its own.

  • A merged order holds up to 14 original orders. This is the most TikTok accepts when the tracking number is sent back.

Small but nice

  • Courier item descriptions and packing slips use your Helm product name, unless Use Channel Names is on.

  • Gift notes travel with your labels in Batch Despatch.

  • The despatched message on the order card shows the date your sales channel was updated.

  • If a label doesn't go through on the Order Despatch page, the failover service from your shipping rule is ready and waiting when you reopen the order.

  • Batch Deliveries highlights any required field in red before you publish.

  • Plus a sweep of improvements across shipping, channel fulfilment, search and stock, keeping everything running smoothly.
