From the Warehouse Floor to the Bottom Line: Helm’s Biggest Release Yet

This release is about depth. Not just more features, but smarter infrastructure, the kind that makes your warehouse hum with precision whether you're tracking a serial number to its shelf, understanding exactly what each despatch costs, or managing a team of pickers in real time

We've expanded the reporting suite, introduced batch and serial inventory tracking, built a Cost Dashboard that speaks the language of your finance team, and wired up a Team Manager that puts operational oversight at your fingertips. This is Helm growing into the complexity your business demands

Reporting & Visibility – the Full Picture, Finally

The Reporting Module has taken a significant leap forward. Eleven new report types are now available - inventory, pick performance, movement performance, packing performance, delivery performance, purchase orders, purchase order lines, shipments, locations, location items, and customers - giving you the granular, custom-built views your operations have always deserved. Alongside this, the Request Logs pages have been completely redesigned: every API request and response is now captured with correlation tracking, status codes, and full payload visibility, complete with advanced filtering and a detailed log view. Transparency, all the way down

Inventory Management – Precision at Every Unit

Inventory now speaks the language of batch and serial. A new Batch Type field at item creation lets you designate stock as either Batch or Serial, unlocking serial number fields, batch stock location management, expiry date tracking, and dedicated warehouse settings - including Serial Validation Mode and Enforce Single Batch Per Location. Expired batch stock is handled automatically: when an expiry date passes, stock is zeroed and transferred to a new inventory record with an "-EX" suffix, ensuring nothing past its date ever ships. A "Batch Expired" filter on the Inventory List keeps things easy to manage at a glance

Dimension calculation logic has also been refactored for greater accuracy, with values now sorted and summed consistently across quantities. For items that ship alone, a new Advanced Setting on the Inventory Card lets the Packing Terminal and Despatch screen automatically assign each unit to its own parcel - with sensible rules that respect grouped item behaviour

International shipments now have a cleaner fallback for valuation. A new Custom Value field on the Inventory Card defines the price to use when no value comes through from the channel - with Export Value always taking priority when both are set. It's a small field that prevents a surprisingly common gap

Order & Channel Management – Smarter Rules, Fewer Surprises

Pick Routine creation now supports an "Exclusive Product" filter type, giving you precise control over which orders qualify based on exact product combinations. For multi-channel operations, Auto Merge Orders has been disabled for Amazon, Temu, and TikTok - with clear, informative tooltips and warnings explaining why - while eBay merging now prompts a confirmation step with full transparency about what changes under the hood. Channels ship more reliably when the guardrails are in the right places

The "Notify Customer" toggle in Channel Settings is now on by default for Shopify, and address lookup has been focused exclusively to UK addresses to reduce noise elsewhere. A single email address can now belong to only one user across the system, closing a long-standing gap around duplicate accounts

The Collection Sheet document is now restricted to Basic Mode only. In Full Mode, the print/download toggle has been removed from the Batch Dispatch popup - and in Basic Mode, the Location column has been replaced with a cleaner Shelf column, making the document more relevant to how pickers actually use it

Courier & Integration Accuracy – the Right Carrier, Every Time

Final mile courier handling has been standardised across Exelot and other 3PL Integrations such as GLS. The system now stores and uses the actual final mile carrier - returning the correct courier name (Evri, for example, rather than Exelot) back to the sales channel - while continuing to send unified data to Voila under the hood. The result is better tracking accuracy and full support for marketplace requirements like Amazon VTR

A new Primary Reference ID field, sourced from Neuro, is now stored and used as the default Primary Shipment Reference sent to Voila, as well as the Primary Order Reference across the system. A new Order Defaults section has been added to System Defaults to house this and future order-level configuration

Team & Cost Intelligence – Oversight You Can Act On

Two powerful new modules make their debut in this release. The Team Manager gives managers a live view of every team member's task queue, with drag-and-drop assignment from the Task Pool across picks, movements, deliveries, sorting, and inventory checks, plus Quick Tasks for recurring warehouse work. The Cost Dashboard brings financial clarity to your operations: total cost, inbound, storage, and outbound cost per item, cost as a percentage of revenue, dispatch cost over time, and filterable breakdowns by supplier, store, product, courier, and service. Now your warehouse data and your cost data live in the same conversation

Refinements & Fixes – the Details That Matter

Delivery document capture is now AI-assisted: users can photograph a delivery document via the "Add Items" popup, and the system will extract items and quantities automatically. Pre-generated label generation has been enabled through order rules. A label size field has been added to the Courier edit popup. Purchase Order lists now include a Created At column, and the Order ID on the Pick Detail page is now clickable, taking you straight to the related order. The "Split Movement" bulk action is hidden when only a single item is present, keeping the interface clean and contextually relevant

Pick Creation now follows a consistent navigation flow throughout the system: a single pick takes you straight to the pick detail page, while multiple picks surface a notification with a direct link to your pick list. Across the system's filter sections, selecting a field now automatically surfaces the relevant operator options, making rule-building and filtering noticeably faster
