Helm's newest release brings more flexible picking, real-time returns data, and shipping rules that finally understand when an order actually arrived. Alongside the headline changes, Global Search picked up a round of everyday polish.

Split Picks by Max Lines, Units, or Orders
Pick routine templates now support three alternative ways to cap a pick's size. You can set a limit on Max Lines, Max Units, or Max Orders, whichever matches how your warehouse actually runs, and only one of the three applies at a time. However the limit is set, an order is never split across two separate picks: once the cap is hit, the next order simply starts a fresh pick. It's a small change with a real effect on the shop floor, letting you shape pick sizes around your team's pace rather than working around a single fixed rule.

Know the Moment a Return Comes In
A new Returns Webhook fires the instant a return is created against an order, and it carries the return reason and the quantity being returned right there in the payload, so whatever system you're piping it into has the full picture immediately, no follow-up lookup required.

Shipping Rules That Read the Clock
Shipping Rules, and Order Rules too, can now filter on the day of the week an order was received and on a received-time window. That means you can route orders differently depending on exactly when they land, which is useful for cut-off times, weekend batching, or any workflow where "when" matters as much as "what."

Small but nice

  • Global Search has had a round of usability improvements, so finding what you're looking for takes fewer steps.

  • Print Template Editor now supports a new label size option.

  • We've also been steadily working through smaller issues behind the scenes, many raised directly by clients, to keep your experience streamlined and reliable.

Steady, clear, and built for the way you work: the Helm team
