Changelog

Follow new updates and improvements to Helm.

20.10.2026

This release brings collection dates you choose, a full history for every item, customs data ready for the new EU and US rules, and a faster flow from the tote to the packing bench.

Book Collections for the Right Day
Set a future collection date for your label requests in three ways: straight from the order page, for many orders at once from Set > Collection Date on the Orders list, or through the Order API. The new Set Collection Date action in Order Rules can also choose the date for you. It can be a set number of calendar or business days ahead (with or without UK holidays), or the next chosen day of the week, at the time you pick.

The Full Story of Every Item
The Inventory page has a timeline showing everything that has happened to an item, in order: allocations, channel stock syncs, manual edits and order-driven moves. Filter by date to see exactly how stock got where it is.

Ready for New Customs Rules
Add the companies that make your products under Settings > Manufacturers, then link them to each item in Customs Information, along with its Manufacturer Part Number. Helm sends these details and the product barcode with every label, ready for the EU rules that apply from 1 November 2026. For US shipments, add each manufacturer’s MID and use the US Compliance section to mark items as certified or disclaimed, with a company default certifier to save time.

Hit Every Ship By Date
Despatch Target Rules can now work from the Ship By Date your channels send, so every order’s target lines up with the date your marketplace expects it to leave.

Manage Your Totes
The new Pick Totes screen under Processing shows every tote and the orders inside it after a tote pick. Unassign orders from one tote or many at once, with a clear summary of every order affected.

Link Channel Products in Bulk
A new Channel Product Linking import connects channel SKUs to your Helm products from a single file, with Stock Sync and Include Inbound Stock set per row. Any rows that need attention can be downloaded, corrected and uploaded again.

Faster Packing at the Despatch Terminal
Scan a tote filled in Sort Orders and the order inside opens, ready to pack. Once an item is fully scanned, a Next Up panel shows the image, title and SKU of the next one. Scan the PROCESS barcode to start packing the selected order. Find Order picks the order with the earliest despatch target first.

Returns, Found Your Way
The Returns Terminal finds despatched orders by customer name, Channel Order ID or Channel Alt ID, alongside postcode, order ID and tracking code.

Trace Every Batch
The new Despatched Batches report under Shipping lists every batch-tracked item sent within your chosen dates. It includes customer contact details, batch, expiry and serial numbers, ready for any product recall.

Small but nice

  • Save a sort order in your Orders views and it stays after a refresh.

  • Print or download invoices for orders in Draft.

  • Reports leave archived records out by default. Tick Include Archived to bring them in.

  • In Shipping Rules, Potential Problems checks your recent or random orders, rule groups have an Edit action in the row menu, and delete confirmations name the group.

  • Order Rules keep each filter group tidy, with every filter type used once per group.

  • The Warehouse Performance Dashboard shows a No Target category in Despatch Performance and explains each Inventory Performance column.

  • Days of stock remaining counts stock still due on your purchase orders.

  • SKUs up to 255 characters import from your channels.

  • The Location Stock import sets replenishment and max level settings.

  • Stock warning notifications name the product, with a link straight to it.

  • Location codes can include dots.

  • App Store listings have a fresh card design, and screenshots open full screen.

  • Plus a sweep of improvements across orders, picking, transfers, reporting and the Public API, keeping everything running smoothly.

15.10.2026

This release brings partial SKU search, one-click reports from your dashboards and goods-in checks on deliveries.

Find Products by Part of a SKU
Inventory search matches any part of a SKU, with exact matches shown first. Type a few characters and the right product is at the top.

Your Reports, One Click Away
The Overview, Sales, Inventory and Customer Care dashboards link straight to the matching report, already set to the timeframe you’re viewing.

Item Codes on Deliveries
The Delivery Items section shows each product’s Item Code, so goods in can be checked off at a glance.

For Developers: Consistent Webhook Payloads
Every webhook delivers its data as an array, including deliveries that contain a single record. If your integration reads single-record webhooks as an object, update it to read the first item in the array.

Small but nice

  • Sort wall locations need only a Location Code when your location structure is set to Locations.

  • Search for Inventory Checks from the header using terms like stock take, stock count or cycle count.

  • Request Logs show which app made each request.

  • Tag filters using Contains, Starts With or Ends With accept free text in Shipping Rules, Order Rules, Inventory Checks and Movements.

  • Attached files download straight to your device for extra security.

  • Plus a sweep of improvements across purchasing, deliveries, picking, sign-in and the Public API, keeping everything running smoothly.

14.10.2026

This week brings postcode controls in Order Rules, smooth invitations for new team members, notes on every purchase order line, and customer records from order imports.

Fill In Missing Postcodes Automatically
The Shipping Postcode and Invoice Postcode filters in Order Rules include an Is Empty option, and the new Set Postcode action fills in a postcode for you. Shipping to a country that doesn’t use postcodes, such as the UAE? Set up a rule that adds 00000 to those orders and your labels are ready to go. Every change made by the rule appears on the order timeline.

Welcome New Team Members Smoothly
Invite a colleague and they can open the link, set their password and go straight into Helm, even on a computer where you’re already signed in. You both stay signed in to your own accounts. Invitation emails name the company they’re joining, so it’s clear where the invite comes from. And if you’re ever signed out, Helm tells you exactly why.

Notes on Every Purchase Order Line
Add Note and Edit Note are available on purchase order lines at every status, including sent purchase orders, so supplier details and reminders stay right where you need them.

One Customer, One Record
Order imports include Customer Last Name as a required field, so every imported order is matched to a single customer and your customer list stays clean. Shipping and invoice last names remain optional.

Small but nice

  • New locations pick up your Default Zone automatically.

  • Sort your order list by Channel Order ID or Channel Alt ID.

  • Packing slips created by Voila show your Helm item code, with the channel SKU kept alongside.

  • Items set to the Manual ordering method stay out of Inventory Demand purchase orders.

  • Bulk Add in Inventory Count finds products by tag.

  • Plus a sweep of improvements across purchasing, picking, labels and search, keeping everything running smoothly.
