This release brings a quick, responsive Helm all round, Shipping Rules that read product tags, pick routines that tag as they go, packing slips that travel with your pick list, more from your inventory import, and fast printing for big batches.

Shipping Rules That Read Product Tags
Add an Order Item Tag condition to a shipping rule and pick one or more product tags. The rule matches when any product on the order carries one of them, so large or special items go straight to the right courier service.

Pick Routines That Tag as They Go
Give a pick routine one or more pick tags, and every pick it creates carries them automatically. Manual runs, scheduled runs and split runs are all covered, so picks arrive already labelled for the team, zone or shift they belong to.

Packing Slips with Your Pick List
When you print or download a pick list from inside a pick, switch on Include packing slips and the packing slip for every order in the pick comes out right after it. Helm uses the template set in your Document Rules, or your default packing slip.

More from Your Inventory Import
The inventory import takes the Cost Price from Product Information as a column. Map it once and Helm fills it in for new items and keeps existing ones up to date; a blank cell leaves the stored cost as it is. A new Archived column archives products in bulk: Yes, TRUE or 1 archives an item, and No, FALSE or 0 brings it back, exactly as the inventory list does.

Your Channel’s Product Names on Paperwork
With Use Channel Names switched on, invoices and packing slips show the product name from your sales channel, so customers see the same name they ordered. A short info hover in Channel Settings explains exactly where the setting applies.

Fast Printing for Big Batches
Bulk printing from the Orders page sends one combined file per document type and size, and the Packing Terminal prepares large print runs in a single pass. Hundreds of orders reach the printer in noticeably less time.

Small but nice

  • Auto Merge Orders keeps your oldest order as the main one, by Date Placed, and manual merges follow the same rule.

  • Purchase orders show an Item Code (SKU) column next to the item name.

  • Delivery movements show long product names in full, with the complete name and code on hover.

  • Location import and export include a Category column, and the Public API v2 can list location categories and count locations per category.

  • In the mobile app, Assembly locations appear in the To Location pickers for movements, and picked quantities can be edited just as on the web.

  • Order imports only need a Product Name for SKUs that are new to Helm.

  • If a shipment can’t be created on the Single Shipment page, a clear popup lists each problem on its own line.

  • Parcels you merge or move by hand stay exactly as you set them, on the web and in the Packing Terminal.

  • User, System and Channel Logs let you choose how many rows to show per page, and the Courier Logs Action filter shows a readable name for every action.

  • Plus a sweep of fixes across orders, picking, purchasing and imports, keeping everything running smoothly.

Steady, clear, and built for the way you work: the Helm team
