✨ What’s New in Helm v7.0.29

Small changes, smarter software, stronger systems

This update is focused on making Helm more polished, intuitive, and in line with the future we’re building - for the UK and for the world.

Let’s walk through what’s new.

Updated Branding in All the Right Places

We’ve updated visual elements across the platform to reflect the new Helm identity more clearly and consistently:

  • The register company email template now features our new branding

  • The Mail Account page labels the Despatch Cloud account as Helm

  • Sender fields and account names have been tidied up for consistency

  • A helpful install app banner now appears when clicking into the Despatch Terminal submenu

A More Thoughtful Experience

Several smaller improvements that help everything feel smoother:

  • United Kingdom now appears first in the country dropdown during setup

  • The Cheat Sheet print template is now hidden in Basic Mode

  • The Sales Dashboard now includes visual data for all relevant orders (excluding cancelled, draft, or archived ones)

  • Tax ID and EORI Number columns are now visible in Order Import

  • A new Shelf column has been added to the Stock Level Report in Basic Mode

Setup Wizard: Now Smarter and Quieter

We’ve refined how the Setup Wizard behaves to make onboarding more helpful:

  • If you close the first screen without clicking Start, the wizard won’t reopen until your next session

  • Setup dialogs only appear for company owners or admins

  • After all steps are completed, the second confetti screen will only appear once - no more repeat celebrations

Enhanced Despatch Terminal & Printing Workflow

  • Commercial Invoice Auto-Printing
    This feature is performing as intended, ensuring a more efficient despatch process

  • Packing Slip Generation
    Optimisations have been made to deliver a smoother and more consistent experience

Setup Flow Updates

  • Demo Mode has been hidden from view

  • The Company Setup and Wizard modals work together, improving reliability and reducing confusion

We’ve got a few exciting refinements in the pipeline to make Helm even smoother:

  • Smarter Print Template Downloads
    We're putting the finishing touches on download formatting for print templates - think cleaner layouts and crisper results, especially for complex documents

  • Despatch Terminal Seamlessness
    A rare “unauthenticated” message may occasionally appear when launching the Despatch Terminal from the sidebar - we’re ironing this out behind the scenes to make transitions even more seamless

  • Template Downloads
    We’ve addressing the print template downloads (e.g. layout distortions, blank pages), but the final fix is coming in a future update

Rest assured: all core printing and despatch functions are running smoothly - what’s coming next just takes things up a notch
